BARNSTAPLE TYPE II green
This hand stamp was issued on 15th October 1855. It is seen in black and green. Its use in green is very
unpredictable being recorded used between Nov.1855 and Feb.1857. Black is also recorded used during this period.
This office has a rarity factor of D. I have seen more examples using green ink than using black ink.

The above example is dated March 4th 1856 with code B. I believe this is one where the ink mix is wrong.
CARLISLE TYPE B original
TYPE II green
This hand stamp was issued on 11th December 1856. Two Type II stamps were issued this one being the only one
that I have seen using a green ink. With no data the use of green could have been an error or black ink had nm out.

This example is dated 10th Febmary 1857 and is the only Carlisle sideways duplex I have seen using green.
