This is the second of the sideways duplexes to be issued to this town.
TYPE III
It was issued on 18-06-57 and I have recorded it used between Jul57 and Mar 58.
This type is even rarer than the Type II hand stamp and has the top scarcity rating of H. Again the only other strikes
I have seen are in the National Postal Museum, both examples being on piece. Therefore the cover above is the
only one known. The date of 05-07-57 is the earliest known date and shows the code 'C'. An example on piece
dated 02-02-58 and using the code 'C' along with a part strike on ld red is also seen above.
The code A is the only other recorded code this on one of the examples in the museum.
