               This is the second of the two hand stamps issued to this town. It was issued on 19-10-57 with no recuts made.

           Here you can see two examples of this hand stamp which had a long life being issued in October 1857 and recorded
           used up until February 1870. What is even more surprising is that there were no recuts unusual for a hand stamp witb
              such a long period of use. The first is on a 1d red and dated 15th April 1871 and shows the code letter 'B'. The
           second is on an envelope posted to India with a 1/- green and a 1d red dated 17th March 1868 showing the code 'C'.
