TYPE B 9th Recut
This was recut from the rare 8th recut and is the last of the recuts for this hand stam~ and it was issued on the
3rd December 1868. It is recorded used between 17th December 1868 and 4t December 1869.

Above you will see two examples of this hand stamp both are seen on 3d surface printed stamps. The first is seen
with a pair paying the double rate postage to Rotterdam Holland and is dated the 6th October 1869. It is showing a
badly worn code letter E. The second example is seen on a single stamp also posted to Rotterdam Holland.
It is dated the 25th July 1869 and this example also shows the code letter E and although it is 3 months earlier
you will see that the code letter E has started to wear.
