Above you can see two fine strikes of this hand stamp. The first is seen used on four 1 d reds on an envelope to
France. It is dated 24th September 1861 and shows the code letter 'J'. The second example is seen on a 6d lilac
surface printed stamp to Spain dated 20th April 1861 this also shows the code letter 'J'.
