This is the last of the Type I hand stamps.
TYPE B recut
The Type B stamp was withdrawn for recutting then issued again on 02-10-55. Recutting was prefened to a
new stamp as this was far less expensive.
The strike above shows the hand stamp on a 1/- embossed postage stamp paying the fee to the U.S.A.
It is dated 07-03-56 and shows the code 'F'. The only other code I have recorded used with this recut is H.
I have recorded codes A to E,I and none, though I have not seen these codes.
This hand stamp has been recorded used between 28-10-55 and 04-07-58.
