Above are two fine strikes ofthis hand stamp, the first is on a Id red which is so badly centered that the instruction;
the bottom of the sheet is clearly visible rare to see this. It is dated I 0th July 1854 and shows the code letter 'F'. Th
second strike is dated 14th December 1854 and shows the code letter 'E'. In this strike you can see that the letters ru
thicker indicating wear. The last recorded date is 17th May 1855 but this hand stamp was likely replaced in June185
