This Type B hand stamp was issued on the 31st March 1857. The letters were larger in this recut.
Above you can see two examples of this hand stamp the first strike is dated 16th May 1857 and shows the code
letter 'L 'on a Id red. The second is seen on a 4d surface printed stamp and dated 19th January 1858 and shows the
code letter 'K' on an entire to France.
