              This was the second of the three Type II hand stamps issued to this office. It was issued on the 20th April 1855.

             Above are two examples of this hand stamp, the first is dated 14th December 1855 and shows the code letter 'K'.
          The second strike is dated 25th November 1856 less than a month before it was recut.  You can see that the bottoms oi
             the letters in this hand stamp are largely missing due to wear. At this time the hand stamp is in need of recutting.
