This town received just one hand stamp which was issued on 10-10-55 no recuts were done.
Here is a lovely strike with code letter 'A' ~
and dated 14th November 1857. Also on the \ ~
is a Town-Wall-St U.D.C. in blue. ~
Another fine strike this time canceling two
2d blues and it is dated 12th October 1857.
This time the code letter 'C' has been used.

This final example shows the hand stamp used
to redirect a letter to Dover. You can see that
the ld was first paid in London and cancelled
with an 1844 obliterator. A second stamp was
added to pay for the redirection and the duplex
has cancelled both 1 d reds. It is using the code
letter 'C'. It is dated 18th July 1857 but is seen
only on a piece not a full envelope.
There are no other codes recorded used and it is recorded used between 05-11-55 to 12-11-57.
