TYPE Dl
There were two Type D hand stamps issued to this office. One has the numeral 1 this being a hand stamp
identification number. The other has the number 2 also a stamp identification. This was issued 18th February 1857.
The number 1 in the hand stamp is rare and I have only one this is on a piece and is dated
30th August 1857 and is showing the code Al the letter being the time of dispatch.
TYPED2
This is the second Type D hand stamp it is not as rare and was also issued on 18th February 1857.

letter being the time of dispatch. The second is dated 21st August 1857 and is showing the code E2.
