ROYSTON
Issued on 16th March 1857 it has a rarity rating of F and is recorded used for nearly two years.

Here is an example of this hand stamp dated 10th February 1859 and showing the code B. So far this is the only
code recorded used with this hand stamp. This date is the latest recorded date for this office.
THETFORD
Issued on the 16th March 1857 and has the rarity rating of G. It was in use for just under two years.
An example of this hand stamp is seen above dated 1st December 1857 and uses the code B. The postage was 2d
paid with two ld postage stamps. The hand stamp has been struck just the once with the obliterator cancelling both
the 1 d reds, this was against Post Office regulations as each stamp should have been cancelled with the obliterator.
