One hand stamp was issued to this town on 5th August 1857. It was not recut. Rarity rating is D.
An example of this hand stamp dated 30th April 185 8 is seen used on two 4d and a 1 d red postage stamp paying
the postage to Bombay in India.
TENBY recut
The original hand stamp was issued on 5th August 1857. This recut was issued on 10th October 1864.
Rarity rating is C. This recut stamp was in use until August 1873 this is a long use for a sideways duplex.

This example is dated 19th July 1871 and shows the code A It is seen used on a 1/2d mauve post card which were
not issued until 1870 so you will not see many Towns used on these cards as most sideways duplexes were not in
use at this time.
