This was recut from the above hand stamp then issued on 7th April 1859. It is recorded used between the
30th June 1859 and 11th January 1860. It has a scarcity rating of A common.

Above you can see three examples of this hand stamp. The first is seen on a 4d and 6d surface printed stamps paying
the 1 Od postage rate to India. It is dated the 1 oth November 1859 and it shows the code B 1. The second example is
seen on a ld red paying the inland postage to Clapton and it is dated the 12th October 1859 and it shows the code Dl.
The third example is seen on a 4d surface printed stamp paying the postage to France and it is dated the
11th January 1860 and it shows the code D without the 1 which is missing.
