This recut was issued on the 13th June 1860. It was recut for a 4th time but no examples have yet been recorded.
Two fine strikes of this hand stamp can be seen above; the first is on a small envelope with four single ld reds payini
the 4d rate to France. It is dated 22nd April 1861 and shows the code H2. The second is on a small mourning cover
with a Id red paying the inland postage it is dated 8th March 1861 and shows the code D2.
