Seen above is a strike ofthis stamp dated 16 h July 1860 and showing the code Nol2. You can see in this strike the
bottom half of the letters are weak or missing due to wear. It was then re-cut a 3rd time and issued on 16th Nov. 1860
TYPE Via Wll 4th re-cut
This was the last of the re-cuts to this hand stamp and it was issued on 22nd February 1861.

This strike is seen on a 2d blue postage stamp which is the rate for over Vz oz. It is dated 22nd March 1861 and
shows the code No.12. This was the highest number recorded used as a code in the London sideways duplexes.
