           ADDRESSEE IN A 3 COUNTRY
Since 1891 it was not allowed to mail back reply cards from any other than the originating country of the double
card. In any other cases, surcharges would apply. Still the inventiveness of postal customers also came up with
ways to work around this regulation and misuse the cards.

Two reply cards from a notorious and abusive use of reply cards and prepayment. All the cards use stamps
from Belgium colonies in Africa, like Belgium Congo (most likely of philatelic origin), and are addressed to a
fake address in these countries. The fake address always is deleted and replaced by the true address in a third
country. Many cards from this specific correspondence exist and generously populate many philatelic auctions,
almost all with flaws in the item description.
