1922 Bye-Election in the Leicester East parliamentary constituency
39 LON DON ROAD,
LEICESTER,
March 27th, 19a~.
To the Women Electors of East Leicester.
The- Government that gave women the vote, and
.has opened many doors, including those of Parliament
to them, is engaged in an effort to remove the troubles
that have arisen from the war, and the distresses which
are. hitting many homes very hard.
My husband seeks lo further l~ose efforts., a11d I.
very sincerely appeal to the women electors to support
him at the poll on Thursday.
Very few women care much about Party Politics.
But we all care for the peace and happiness . of our
dear country. We can only show our f aiih . in the
Prime Minister's efforts by supporting those who are
prepared to support him.
Mr. Marlow will do that, and I feel sure that
the women of East Leicester will vote for him for that
reason.
, Yours sincerely,
KATIE MARLOW.
